Associate Professor Kevin Pfleger is an Australian Research Council Future Fellow and Head of Molecular Endocrinology and Pharmacology at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research (formerly the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research) and the Centre for Medical Research, The University of Western Australia. A/Prof Pfleger is also Chief Scientific Advisor of Dimerix Bioscience Limited, a spin-out company of The University of Western Australia that is translating the outcomes of his research. A/Prof Pfleger was awarded his MA and PhD from Cambridge and Edinburgh Universities respectively. A former NHMRC Peter Doherty Research Fellow, A/Prof Pfleger’s other recent awards include: Western Australian Young Scientist of the Year 2009, NHMRC 10 of the Best Research Projects 2010, Australian Museum Eureka Prize for Emerging Leader in Science 2011, The Endocrine Society Early Investigators Award 2012 and Western Australia Young Tall Poppy Science Award 2012.
