Anthony D Bird

Anthony Bird received his BSc from the University of Melbourne in 2003, then undertook doctoral studies with Associate Professor Tim Cole in the Biochemistry Department of Monash University, Melbourne, which he completed in 2009. Using both total and conditional mouse knockout models his PhD studies investigated how glucocorticoid hormones and other circulating factors help mature the developing mammalian lung just prior to birth,. Remaining at Monash University, his post-doctoral work continues to investigate this topic.
